Job Responsibilities: · Responsible to manage and make criticaldecisions on all aspects of supplier relationship including contracts,commercial/pricing, supply assurance and conflict resolution. · This is an individual contributor rolethat requires extensive interfacing with engineering, quality and supplier; itrequires knowledge of the business units’ technology and product roadmaps. · The role requires a sophisticated levelof relationship management interfacing with global suppliers, requiring balancing of interests to maintain mutuallybeneficial relationships. · This person will be anescalation/communication point for THE COMPANY and the supply partner. · Responsible to drive the technologyroadmap engagement with strategic suppliers and Engineering to deliver thesetechnologies in THE COMPANY products to meet the time to market and costobjectives of the business. · Establish consistent commercialterms/conditions and present a single unified THE COMPANY interface to thesupply base · Establish strong vendor relationships,effectively manage category supply base, perform advanced and intricatenegotiations, and use event driven cost reductions to meet annual costreduction goals · Drive supplier rationalization strategyto maximize category leverage · Manage the RFQ/ quote process · Work with supply base to establishrobust quality operating systems to support “zero defect culture · Serve as a point of contact for BUsourcing issues and opportunities related to category management · Establish goals, improvement plans,business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility · Actively monitor vendor and internalperformance against contracts, industry benchmarks, and previous baselines on aquarterly basis. Develop and submit reports for senior management. · Identify and evaluate market changes andnew technologies -- make appropriate fact-based recommendations for adoption byTHE COMPANY stakeholders. · Track and report on performance metrics Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree. · Minimum 4~6 years of direct procurementexperience. · Prior experience in Electricaland Electronics categories, especially Semiconductor, Passive andElectromechanical categories . Commodity sourcing andnegotiating direct materials in a Automotive Aftermarket environmentusing strategic category management techniques to achieve results. · Proven ability to lead andachieve cost, quality, and time to market commitments · Strong negotiation andrelationship building skills · Success in collaborating withkey work partners and able to maintain relationships at the working level · Strong presentation and writingskills · Ability to gather relevantinformation systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors; graspcomplexities and perceive the relationship among problems or issues; seek inputfrom others · Effective team player committedto organizational goals; fostering collaboration among team members · Establish challengingperformance standards; create enthusiasm, a feeling of investment, and a desireto excel · Ability to speak clearly andexpress self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations · Demonstrate resourcefulness toeffectively leverage and focus resources across organizational/geographicboundaries · Fluent in English and Mandarinboth oral and written.
