Headhunting position:HC1700443  Sourcing Manager

Location：Shanghai
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position: Major Tasks
1. Sourcing of defined raw material basket while optimizing value
generation with regards to cost, quality and reliability
2. Develop, implement and lead sourcing strategies to maximize value
creation for global and regional strategic raw materials in alignment
with the overall strategy of Covestro and Procurement
3. Ownership with preparation, negotiation and finalization of complex
supply contracts
4. Development of new suppliers including the optimization of the
existing supplier portfolio (including supplier selection, evaluation &
development)
5. Ensuring implementation of quality, sustainability, and safety
standards and corporate compliance rules by on-site audits as an
example.
6. Managing the interface to all internal stakeholder such as
global/regional product management of the BUs (PCS, PUR and CAS),
production, SCC, different site procurement organizations worldwide,
PSRA, Covestro and IMA procurement community and others.
7. Lead and drive important initiatives/projects within the IMA
category as head or member of global/regional, cross functional teams

WHO YOU ARE
Position: Skills,...
- MBA/MSC or equivalent degree in chemistry or business management
- At least 5 years working experience in procurement or equivalent
function
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Intercultural and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills, fact-based and data-driven that drives
direction and performance
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage virtual team
environment
- Strong initiative and self-motivation
- Possesses a working knowledge of contract and business law, modern
procurement processes and practices and the ethics of the supplier /
purchaser relationship-- Good command of spoken and written English
