Position Description:
-Running the logistics (purchasing, warehouse management and forwarding) in accordance with the budget and realize cost savings where ever it is possible.
-Following up the KPIs and define / implement corrective/preventive actions for improvement, if necessary.
-Split the material to be purchased in logical groups and assign purchasers for the operative purchase of these grouped materials.
-Insure with his purchasing team that all materials are in time, in the requested quantity and required quality at our warehouse.
-Set up a warehouse organization to insure that all materials necessary for the planned production are in time at the work centers.
-Arrange on spot inventory checks to insure a proper annual stock taking with as less deviations as possible.
-Leading its direct subordinates in a way to get the best out of them and in order to achieve the company targets in terms of output, material cost and transportation cost.
-Set up MM purchasing/inventory parameter in SAP to control the inventory, to achieve the company inventory target.
-Going with his direct subordinates trough an annual employee discussion and discuss openly the performance of the subordinate and the topics for improvement. The outcome of these discussions has to be put in writing as an agreement between the logistic manager and each of his direct subordinate. |
Desired Skills:
-Over 8 years work experience in managing industrial logistics / metalworking industry; Able to understand logistical context;
-Sensitive in pricing and numbers and strong analytic skills;
-Strong communication skills (including English speaking, reading, writing and listening), clear and logic thinking and effective expression skills;
-Good at WORD, ACCESS, EXCEL, POWER POINT and OUTLOOK;
-Good negotiation skill;
-Leading employees target oriented;
-Having pro-active attitude and an urge to get things through/implemented;
